## Summary

#### Overview
**Applications are invited to be placed on Transnet Engineering’s Approved List as suppliers or manufacturers of specialized goods or components and/or equipment for the Transnet Engineering business**. Approved lists cover Wagons (239), Locomotives (248 and 301) and Ports (100). Suitable bidders are manufacturers or suppliers of rail equipment with capability to meet Transnet’s specifications and quality standards (ISO 9001), and who can comply with B-BBEE and SARS tax/registration requirements.

#### Requirements
- Supply capabilities aligned to Annexure A1 Wagons, Annexure A2 Locomotives, Annexure A3 Ports (item-specific specs, testing, and certificates as applicable); comply with testing/first-sample processes where required. 
- Compliance with Transnet’s integrity and confidentiality requirements:
  - Sign Supplier Integrity Pact (2.13) and Non-Disclosure Agreement (2.12). 
  - Adhere to the zero gifts policy and anti-corruption commitments.
- B-BBEE certification or sworn affidavit for EMEs/QSEs; provide Tax/PAYE/VAT status and SARS compliance; include SBD forms and relevant registration details (e.g., VAT, Tax Compliance Status, Unique SARS PIN).
- Submit via Transnet’s electronic portal; avoid blanket applications; specify items of interest only.
- If a joint venture or consortium is formed, submit JV/consortium agreement or written intention with percentage split and responsibilities.
- Returnable documents listed in Section 5 (Proposal Form and List of Returnable Documents) and Annexures B–E (General Bid Conditions, Integrity Pact, Non-Disclosure, ISO 9001 Audit Checklist).
