## Summary

#### Overview
**This open RFQ seeks an on-site contractor to undertake maintenance and repairs of roofs (including cladding, flashings, gutters, downpipes, fascia, waterproofing and asbestos work where applicable) for Armscor Dockyard buildings 616, 617, 793, 626, 620, 621, 1037, 656, 655, 674, 676 and 675 in Simon’s Town.** Bidders should have CIDB General Building contractor grading designation of 3SN or higher or 3GB or higher, be registered asbestos contractors (Type 2 or Type 3), and demonstrated roof-repair experience in the last 5 years. The work includes asbestos work where present.

#### Requirements
- Compulsory site inspection attendance (sign the attendance register).  
- CIDB registration: General Building, 3SN or higher or 3GB or higher; joint ventures must submit combined CIDB CRS numbers and meet JV rules.  
- Relevant experience: at least one roofs repair/installation project in the last 5 years; provide client reference or completion certificate with contact details.  
- Registered Asbestos Contractor: Type 2 or Type 3 with accreditation from the Department of Employment and Labour.  
- Compliance with applicable legislation and standards (OHS Act, Construction Regulations, NBRs, asbestos regulations, SANS 10400-L, etc.).
