## Summary

#### Overview
**Procurement of comprehensive Waste Management services for the SAAO, Observatory, for a 36-month period.** This RFQ seeks on-site waste collection/removal, general, garden/landscape, recyclable and hazardous waste handling, reporting, PPE and site-compliance, suitable for experienced waste-management providers with corporate/customer-grade capabilities and B-BBEE compliance.

- Target bidders: established waste-management service providers with on-site waste removal, recycling, hazardous waste handling, transport licenses, reporting, and safety/documentation frameworks.

#### Requirements
- Minimum three years of relevant waste-management experience with commercial/corporate clients.
- At least three reference letters from recent clients (past five years), on client letterhead, dated ≥ June 2021.
- Registration as a Hazardous Waste Transporter or proof that a subcontractor is registered, with a valid agreement.
- Proof of CSD registration; valid COIDA certificate; proof of license for the landfill/waste facility handling site.
- Ability to provide disposal certificates for hazardous waste and to supply a comprehensive SAAO site-file (OHS policy, risk assessments, MSDS, insurance, etc.) within 30 days of contract signing.
- Compliance with BBBEE requirements (SBD 6.1) and completion of required SBD forms (SBD 1, 3.1, 4, 6.1) and other documentation.
