#### Overview
**George Municipality seeks to appoint a service provider for the rigging of two 66 kVA transformers.** Bidders must be CIDB registered with a grading designation of 1EP or higher and have relevant electrical/rigging capabilities. #### Requirements

- Attendance at a mandatory site briefing (23 October 2026, 11:00, SS Protea Substation).  
- TCS PIN tax compliance information to be submitted with the bid; CSD registration required for successful bidders.  
- B-BBEE: original or certified B-BBEE certificates; Preferential Points: 80 for price, 20 for BBBEE and specific goals.  
- Bid documents available for a non-refundable deposit (R70.15) and free on the municipality website.  
- Returnable documents and pricing schedules to be submitted; follow tender procedures (one or two-envelope system as indicated).  
- Health and safety specifications apply to the scope of work.  
- Alternative bidder option possible; bid must be compliant and complete.

#### How to Apply
- Obtain tender documents from the George Municipality SCM Unit or download free from www.george.gov.za (deposit required if obtaining in person).  
- Attend the compulsory site briefing: 23 October 2026 at 11:00 (SS Protea Substation).  
- Prepare and submit a sealed quotation: GMQ010/26-27 in a tender box at the George Municipality, 5th Floor, Civic Centre, York Street, George, by 12:00 on 30 October 2026 (no faxes/emails). Quotation opening 12:05 on the same day.  
- Include returnable documents, Form of Offer and Acceptance, pricing data, CIDB registration, BBBEE, TCS PIN, and any other documents required in the returnable schedules (see Part T2).  
- If a two-envelope system is used, separate technical and financial proposals accordingly.  
- Registration on the Central Supplier Database (SVD) may be required for successful bidders.
