## Summary

#### Overview
**Appointment of an external Audit and Risk Committee Member for NMISA.** Bidders should be experienced finance/audit professionals with public-sector governance exposure, independent, and able to meet PFMA, National Treasury regulations, and enterprise-wide risk management expectations.

#### Requirements
- Minimum five (5) years’ experience as an independent ARC member in government/public entities.
- Professional qualifications (CA(SA), CIA, CRMA, CISA, or MBA advantageous).
- Current registration with a recognized professional body (SAICA, IIA, RMSA).
- At least 3 written references or three contactable names, numbers, and emails.
- Demonstrated public sector governance experience (internal/external audit, financial management, supply chain, risk management).
- In-depth knowledge of PFMA, National Treasury Regulations, GRAP/IFRS, POPIA, and EWRM.
- Independence and objectivity: no executive role; not involved in day-to-day operations; report to the ARC and Board.
- Hours and fees: provide hourly rates (including VAT) for meeting preparation and attendance; 12 hours prep and 12 hours attendance; compensation guided by National Treasury guidelines.
- Term: three months, with possible extension; commence on signing the appointment letter.
- Mandatory submissions: CV, appointment letters, proof of professional registration; completed SBD4 and SBD6.1 forms; BBBEE certificate if pricing > R2,000; sign confidentiality/POPIA undertakings; submit to scm5@nmisa.org. (Refer to attached documents: SBD4, SBD6.1; Technical Specification.)
