#### Overview
**Appointment of a Systems Engineering Consultant to provide specialised technical services for the Africa2Moon project.** The South African Radio Astronomy Observatory (SARAO) invites bids from experienced systems engineers with RF/digital/space-systems background to deliver 300 hours of support, on a hybrid remote/on-site basis, to Africa2Moon.

#### Requirements
- One named Systems Engineer for the full 300-hour assignment; substitutions require SARAO written approval.  
- Qualifications: B.Sc Eng, B.Eng or equivalent at NQF level 8+; CV and availability.  
- Experience: at least 15 years in systems engineering for RF, DSP, radio-astronomy, satellite/space, avionics or similar; clear evidence of integration, test and verification of multidisciplinary systems.  
- Competences: requirements management, architecture design, interface definition, traceability, verification planning, baselines and engineering-change control.  
- Deliverables aligned to Africa2Moon, including verification planning, interface control docs, risk analyses, and configuration management.  
- Environment: ability to work in SARAO’s mixed environment; hybrid deployment; on-site attendance as needed.  
- Evaluation criteria include Phase 1/2/3 with 80/20 weighting (price vs BBBEE), and mandatory procurement docs (SBD forms, BBBEE, CIDB not applicable).
