## Summary

#### Overview
**UNDP Ghana is procuring an individual contractor to serve as a Critical Minerals Policy and Governance Specialist to facilitate the review of the Draft Minerals and Mining Bill, 2026 and related subsidiary legislation and to help establish a Multi-stakeholder Critical Minerals Governance Mechanism (CMGM).** The assignment spans 50 working days distributed over 4 months. Proposals must be submitted via the UNDP Quantum portal by 27 August 2026 at 16:30. Clarifications are via portal messaging and responses will be provided in writing.

#### Requirements
- Proven experience in policy analysis and legislative review in the minerals or natural resources sector.
- Demonstrated ability to design or facilitate multi-stakeholder governance mechanisms and stakeholder engagement processes.
- Advanced degree in public policy, law, governance, or related field with relevant minerals-sector exposure.
- Ability to deliver within UNDP contract framework as an Individual Contractor (IC) and produce high-quality reports and policy briefs.

Description of the Assignment: Facilitate the review of the Draft Minerals and Mining Bill, 2026 and related subsidiary legislation to strengthen provisions on critical minerals governance and facilitate the Creation of a Multi-stakeholder Critical Minerals Governance Mechanism (CMGM)

Period of assignment/services: 50 Working Days distributed over 4 Months

Proposal should be submitted directly in the portal no later than indicated deadline.

Any request for clarification must be sent in writing via messaging functionality in the portal. UNDP will respond in writing including an explanation of the query without identifying the source of inquiry.
