## Summary

#### Overview
**Expression of Interest to participate in the aggregation of household food production in the Eastern Cape**. The Department of Agriculture (Eastern Cape) seeks local aggregators to join the Ilima Lokulima initiative, aggregating household producers and building capacity along commodity value chains (grain, potatoes, horticulture, citrus, piggery, poultry, etc.). Aggregators will be considered for inclusion in a Departmental database for 2026/27–2028/29.

#### Requirements
- Minimum 70/100 points to qualify for the aggregator database, including:
- Aggregation of at least 20 households with a detailed beneficiaries list (names, IDs, contacts, gender, disability status).
- Demonstrated experience: multiple relevant projects; provide appointment letters or references.
- Key staff: CVs and qualifications (agriculture production or project management preferred).
- Financial readiness: letter of intent showing annual investment; bank facility; business balance sheet.
- Engagement plan covering governance, capacity building, infrastructure, and job creation.
- Compliance: tax PIN/CSD registration; no state-employed individuals; joint ventures require authority documents.

#### How to Apply
- Submission deadline: 11:00 on 14 September 2026 (note: a timeline in the attached document also mentions 18 September 2026; verify). 
- Submission method: signed original plus one copy in a sealed envelope to the Indwe House tender box, Bhisho.
