## Summary

#### Overview
**Four-year term contracts for mechanical and other related major plant and machinery installation, maintenance, repair, refurbishment and upgrade for Department of Water and Sanitation operations (Central Operations and Northern Operations).** Bidders should bring heavy construction/engineering capability and CIDB registration: 8ME+ for Central Operations tenders (DWS03) and 7ME+ for Northern Operations tenders (DWS04), with demonstrable electrical experience or subcontract the EP equivalent. Joint ventures are allowed with a lead partner meeting the required CIDB rating; if bidding in multiple area offices, resources cannot be reused across areas. Attending compulsory briefing sessions is required; many site/procurement compliance conditions apply.

#### Requirements
- CIDB qualification: 8ME+ for Central Operations (DWS03) or 7ME+ for Northern Operations (DWS04); demonstrable electrical experience or subcontract EP.
- CIDB registration prior to evaluation; joint ventures must satisfy lead partner and combined rating rules.
- Broad compliance: tax clearance, good standing with compensation fund, not listed on tender defaulters, registered in CSD, and authorized signatory; no multiple bids by the same entity.
- Attendance at compulsory briefing sessions; evidence via attendance registers/Annexure A per addenda.
- Submit complete tender data, pricing schedules, and Annexures; pricing in ZAR, exclusive of VAT; validity 120 days.
- Pricing requires labour rates (various levels), overtime, standby, travel, accommodation, transport; and local content declarations where applicable (Annex C/D).
- Local workshop evaluation: minimum 70 points within 500 km radius, or bid may be non-responsive.
