## Summary

#### Overview
**The tender seeks a contractor to provide general maintenance services on an “as and when” basis for three years at Legal Aid SA offices in Gauteng.** Suitable bidders are multi-disciplinary building maintenance contractors with CIDB 4GB or higher, capable of reactive and planned maintenance plus minor works, and who can supply qualified professionals (e.g., engineers, architects) where required. Bidders must meet tax, CIDB, COIDA and related compliance requirements.

#### Requirements
- CIDB: valid 4GB or higher (active for contract duration). If a joint venture, consolidated CIDB must be 4GB+.  
- COIDA: valid Letter of Good Standing for building maintenance/construction.  
- Tax/Compliance: Tax Clearance or Tax Compliance Status (TCS) PIN; and active CSD registration when applicable.  
- Insurance: Contractors’ All Risks and Public Liability Insurance (R5,000,000).  
- Professional registrations: where professionals are deployed, evidence of registration with ECSA, SACAP, SACQSP (and other relevant bodies) prior to task execution.  
- Site briefing: proof of compulsory briefing/inspection attendance.  
- Documentation: complete SBD forms, Annexure B (experience/key personnel) and Annexure C (price schedule); buy-in of all annexures.  
- Price/terms: firm price for Year 1; annual escalation for Years 2–3; 180-day bid validity.  
- Preference: 80/20 price vs. specific goals (HDI, race, gender, youth, disability) per SBD6.1.
