## Summary

#### Overview
**Procurement of the Palmiet Fire Protection System; a construction contract to design, procure, install and commission an integrated fire protection system at Eskom’s Palmiet Pumped Storage Scheme.** Suitable bidders are mechanical/fire protection and general construction contractors with CIDB 7SF or higher (or a compliant JV as specified), capable of delivering under the NEC3 Term Services Contract, and meeting Eskom’s prequalification (CIDB, CSD, tax, etc.).

#### Requirements
- CIDB: main contractor 7SF+ (or JV with lead 6SF and combined 7SF, per ITT). JV members must be individually CIDB-registered. 
- Pre-qualifications: CSD registration; Tax clearance; CIDB proof; BBBEE and Employment Equity as applicable; integrity and financial due diligence (annual financial statements for the tenderer).
- Contract and technical: NEC3 Term Services Contract; Pricing Schedule/BOQ (PDF and Excel) and separate cataloguing if required (Attachment 3).
- Mandatory returnables and safety: SBD forms (H, I, J) and Annexures A–J; COIDA/OHS documentation; supplier integrity pact; E-tendering training/manuals.
- Site/clarifications: compulsory site clarification meeting (17 July 2026); non-attendance disqualifies. Confirmation by 16 July 12:00. (see ITT Rev 28)
