## Summary

#### Overview
**SAWS seeks information from qualified providers to identify, evaluate and potentially procure a Forecast Product Generator (FPG) solution to generate, manage, visualize and disseminate weather forecast products.** This RFI aims to market-analyze available FPG technologies, licensing, hosting, support, and implementation options for public-good and commercial services. The briefing will be at ABSA building, 1st Floor, Reception Desk, 1263 Heuwel Road, Centurion. Responses close 7 Oct 2026 at 11:00 via the etender platform.

#### Requirements
- Forecast Editing (mandatory); Product Generation (mandatory); Alert Generation (mandatory); Multi-Channel Dissemination (mandatory); Audit Logging (mandatory).

- Integration: REST, OGC, WMO standards, WIS 2.0; data formats GRIB2, BUFR, NetCDF, GeoJSON; CAP/XML/JSON.
- Meteorological: integration with NWP systems (WRF, ECMWF, UKMO, GFS); radar, satellites, observations; aviation and climate data.
- Hosting: On-Premises; Private/Public Cloud; Hybrid (with sizing, DR, RPO/RTO).
- Support/Training: support model, hours, SLAs, knowledge transfer; administrator/forecaster/super-user training; documentation; certifications.
- Security/Compliance: ISO 27001, POPIA, NIST/CIS alignment; SIEM; encryption; MFA; AD/SSO; SOC reports.
- Mobile/Remote: web/mobile access; secure remote access.
