## Summary

#### Overview
**South African Airways (SAA) is seeking market intelligence on onboard kids pack solutions through a formal Request for Information (RFI).** This RFI invites experienced designers, manufacturers, content developers, pack assemblers, distributors, licensed brand representatives and integrated solution providers to share feasible models, capability, safety compliance, lead times and indicative pricing for onboard edutainment packs for children aged 3–12 (with sub-ages 3–5, 6–8, 9–12) and an optional 0–2 infant item. The exercise is for information and feasibility, not a binding quote or award.

#### Requirements
- End-to-end or modular solutions for design, development, production and supply of onboard edutainment packs; include one or more of: customised SAA-branded, co-branded/partnered, off-the-shelf with branding, or bundled activity solutions.
- Minimum solution criteria: multi-age activities, inclusive/culturally respectful design, durable/lightweight packaging, screen-free and low-mess, clear instructions, age-appropriate safety, and sustainability.
- Compliance: meet all applicable SA laws and mandatory standards; provide age grading rationale, safety tests/certifications, hazard analysis, traceability, recall readiness, packaging, and end-of-life considerations (no single-use plastics where feasible).
- IP/Branding: clarity on ownership or licensing of concepts, access to source files, and brand asset handling; provide counterfeiting controls.
- Manufacturing/logistics: locations, capacity, MOQ, lead times, packaging/warehousing, stock rotation and replenishment, shelf-life where applicable.
- Pricing: indicative pricing in ZAR (VAT excluded and included), with volume breaks; separate once-off and recurring costs; samples cost if offered.
- Evaluation: safety/build quality (20), age appropriateness (15), engagement value (15), edutainment quality (10), aircraft usability (10), inclusion/African relevance (10), sustainability (10), operational practicality (5), value/appeal (5).
