#### Overview
**Request for Information (RFI) to gather market information on difficult-terrain forestry clearfell operations and related equipment, services and commercial models.** SAFCOL invites suppliers of difficult-terrain harvesting technologies and services (e.g., excavator-based yarders, grapple yarders, shovel loggers, high lead and skyline systems, winch-assisted harvesting, tethered machines, ground-based cable/skidder systems, and related maintenance/training) to respond. The exercise targets slopes of 40%+ (with some 30–40% segments) and is a stand-alone information-gathering, market-testing activity that may inform a future procurement. Responses are due by 06 November 2026; responses are valid for 90 days.

#### Requirements
- Provide information on available equipment and technologies for difficult terrain clearfell operations (shovel/yarder options, cable yarding, winch-assisted, tethered, ground-based systems, etc).
- Submit company profile and demonstrate SA operations capability; include number of projects in last 15 years, current engagements, and client references not older than 15 years.
- Provide functional/technical details for each proposed solution (equipment make/model, slope capability, production output in m³/hour/day, ground-based options).
- Provide performance metrics (productivity, safety management program) and indicative pricing (R/m³) plus rental/leasing options.
- Complete Annexure A Service Provider Response Form, including B-BBEE/demographic information and local content where available.
- All submissions to be in English and properly indexed; SAFCOL may request clarification.
- Participation is voluntary and does not guarantee future procurement.
