## Summary

#### Overview
**SAFCOL is seeking information via an RFI on solutions for forestry thinning operations to identify available technologies, equipment and supplier capabilities for mechanised, ground-based, manual preparation and difficult-terrain thinning.** This stand-alone information-gathering exercise will inform potential future procurement, including market readiness, commercial models and performance benchmarks.

#### Requirements
- SA-based service providers capable of supplying thinning services/equipment; provide Company Profile. 
- Indicate whether you are an established service provider or an emerging entrant. 
- Thinning experience: number of projects in last 15 years; current engagements; client references not older than 15 years. 
- List available thinning solutions/equipment (mechanised, ground-based, manual prep for forwarders, difficult-terrain); include specific technologies such as yarders, winches, tethered systems, etc. 
- Provide performance metrics (productivity in m³/hour/day; safety program). 
- Provide indicative pricing (R/m³) and rental/lease availability; pricing is for planning only.
- Complete Annexure A service provider response form and B-BBEE documentation; provide CSD supplier number and tax registrations. 
- Clearly mark confidential information where applicable.
