## Summary

#### Overview
**This RFI seeks information on steep-area extraction solutions for forestry harvesting in clearfell and thinning operations, and is intended for SA-based OEMs, dealers and contractors with proven capabilities in excavator-based yarders, grapple yarders, high lead and skyline systems, winch-assisted and tethered extraction, to support SAFCOL’s plantations.** SAFCOL will use responses to inform strategy and potential delivery models (direct procurement, contracted services or other arrangements) and to identify suppliers with strong local support capabilities.

#### Requirements
- Established SA-based suppliers/OEMs capable of supplying steep-area extraction equipment for clearfell and thinning; provide Company Profile.
- Demonstrated experience: number of projects, client references, case studies, lessons learned.
- Functional/technical capability: equipment for steep slopes (excavator-based yarders, grapple yarders, high lead, skyline, winch, tethered, etc.) and local support (maintenance, spares, training).
- Pricing information: indicative pricing and total cost of ownership; availability of leasing, rental, or contract-based solutions.
- B-BBEE/supplier-demographic information: provide status or supporting documentation where available.
