## Summary

#### Overview
**Bergrivier Municipality invites proposals for an ultrasonic smart prepaid water metering system for its water network.** Bids are open to suitably qualified service providers with experience in ultrasonic prepaid metering, installation, commissioning and related support, and who can meet municipal procurement requirements (CSD registration, tax compliance, B-BBEE, and related certifications).

#### Requirements
- Must be registered on National Treasury’s Central Supplier Database (CSD) and provide a Tax Compliance Status PIN/CSD number.
- Pricing must be VAT inclusive; a 120-day bid validity.
- Submit an originally certified B-BBEE Certificate or originally certified B-BBEE Sworn Affidavit (0 points if not submitted).
- Complete and submit all required MBD forms and documents (MBD 1, MBD 4, MBD 6.1, MBD 8, MBD 9, MBD 10) and the Pricing Schedule; OHSA form with a valid Good Standing letter.
- Tax matters must be in order with SARS; for >R1m contracts ensure VAT registration.
- Participation in a compulsory briefing/clarification meeting and site briefing (attendance mandatory).

- Submission deadline: 12 October 2026 at 12:00. Submit bids in sealed envelopes to the Tender Box at Bergrivier Municipal Offices, 13 Kerk Street, Piketberg (not by mail/fax).
