## Summary

#### Overview
**The RFP is for leasing a 1,502.4 m2 premises at Ocean Road, Port of Cape Town, for up to 10 years.** Transnet National Ports Authority seeks bids from bidders with real estate/lease capability and port-adjacent refurbishment or fit-out capacity, able to comply with tax, B-BBEE and supplier database requirements, to occupy the site currently used for ship repair (Annexure 1). 

#### Requirements
- Tax compliance: SARS Tax PIN or Tax Compliance Status, and CSD registration; separate certificates for each JV/party if applicable. 
- Central Supplier Database (CSD) registration prior to bid submission. 
- B-BBEE status: valid certificate or sworn affidavit for EMEs/QSEs. 
- Proof of authority to sign (e.g., company resolution). 
- JV/consortium rules: if bidding as JV, provide signed JV agreement or intention to enter into one. 
- Returnable documents: SBD 1 Form and other essential/returnable docs (Certificate of Acquaintance with RFP, RFP Declaration, Specific Goals, Job Creation and Skills Development, Protection of Personal Information, etc.). 
- Administrative and compliance checks: confidentiality, Employment Equity Act adherence, DPIP/FPPO disclosures as required; SAPS security clearance if applicable. 
- Site inspection access and ability to undertake refurbishment/upgrades (costs of fit-out may be at bidder’s expense). 
- Financial requirements: bank rating, reference letters, cashflow/financial viability, and capital expenditure/maintenance plans.
