## Summary

#### Overview
**Procurement of passenger ferry chartering services to Robben Island Museum for three years.** Eligible bidders are maritime transport operators with proven ferry experience, appropriate vessel types (Passenger Boats or Luxury Boats), and required safety, licensing, and insurance certifications.

#### Requirements
- Minimum five years’ track record in passenger vessel services (with client references).
- Qualified crew with SAMSA certificates and CVs for senior officers.
- Vessel specifications: max 35 m length, max loaded draft 2.2 m, max beam 10 m; air-conditioned spaces; universal accessibility; appropriate passenger capacity and amenities.
- Compliance: legal operation between Cape Town Harbour and Robben Island; safety and regulatory standards met; up-to-date safety and class certificates; Pilot Exemption as applicable.
- Insurance: P&I cover USD 500 million and Hull & Machinery Insurance; lease agreement if Owner is not the tenderer.
- Availability: vessel available to RIM at ≥80% during the contract.
- Financials and maintenance: last 3 years audited statements, bank rating, proof of funding, indicative maintenance schedule, and proof of tax compliance/status.
- Bid documentation: complete statutory forms, CSD and SARS tax compliance where applicable, and proof of BBBEE status.
