## Summary

#### Overview
**RFQ 012 2026/2027 seeks a service provider to render 600 hours of SASL interpreting and voice-over services to the GCIS.** Bidders should be SASL-experienced professional service providers with SAQA-accredited NQF6 Language Practice qualifications (SASL specialization), a minimum staff of four SASL interpreters, and the capacity to deliver across South Africa (including Gauteng and Cape Town) with QA, virtual-capable platforms, and studio access. 

#### Requirements
- Minimum staff: at least four (04) SASL interpreters; submit SAQA-accredited NQF level 6 Language Practice qualifications with SASL specialization for at least four interpreters. 
- Demonstrated capabilities: 10-minute videos for (i) SASL interpreting/voice-over and (ii) simultaneous SASL interpreting samples (USB delivery required). 
- Competency: signing and voice interpreting mandatory. 
- Account management: dedicated GCIS account manager with CV; updated if reassigned. 
- References: at least three (3) signed reference letters from recent clients (last 5 years) with contact details. 
- Resources: national reach (own transport or interpreter network across nine provinces); access to GCIS studios; high-speed internet (recommended 20–50 Mbps down, 5–20 Mbps up). 
- Deliverables: SASL interpretation, voice-over, and SASL text for digital materials; virtual interpreting (MS Teams/Zoom). 
- Logistics and pricing: include transport costs; quotes must follow prescribed rates (not exceeding R1,600/hour per interpreter, VAT included). 
- Submissions: USB videos; complete SAQA details; tax/compliance and SBD forms required (see SBD package). 

#### How to Apply
- Submission deadline: 6 November 2026 at 11:00; submissions by hand to GCIS tender box at Tshedimosetso House, Hatfield, or mail to The Head: SCM (sealed envelope marked RFQ 012-2026/2027). No email submissions. (See RFQ document 1). 
- Briefing: non-compulsory hybrid briefing on 30 October 2026, 10:00–12:00 (address and Teams link in documents). 
- Documents to submit: official bid forms (SBD1, SBD3.3 Pricing Schedule, SBD4, etc.), company profile, four interpreter CVs with SAQA certificates, four NQF6 qualifications, three+ reference letters, 10-minute videos on USB, CV of dedicated account manager, and proof of tax/compliance (TCS PIN or CSD).
