#### Requirements
- Scope and volumes: Manual thinning for 3,000 m3 per geographic area in Tweefontein, Bergvleit, Brooklands, Witklip, Blyde and Wilgeboom.
- Standards: Adhere to FESA guidelines, SAFCOL BOPs and Integrated Management System, SHEQ, FSC principles, and applicable SA laws (OHS Act, BCEA).
- Personnel: Minimum team – 7 chainsaw operators, 10 manual stackers, 8 log scalers/pushers; on-site competent supervision; at least one trained First Aider (level 2) and a Safety Rep per operation; trained Safety Officer/Consultant.
- Training/qualifications: Chainsaw operators must have SAQA-certified basic training and yearly refreshers.
- Labour: Local labour where practical; valid IDs/work permits; compliance with labour laws; Workman's Comp and UIF; minimum wage; valid employment contracts; required medical screenings; current training certificates.
- Equipment/ancillaries: Equipment in good order; adherence to maintenance; PPE (including EN381-5 chainsaw trousers and protective gloves); radios; first aid kit; fire protection gear.
- Vehicles: Valid licenses; PrDP for drivers of people; roadworthy vehicles; Certificates of Fitness; enclosed labor carriers with safety harness; minimum safety features.
- Legal/insurance: Public liability cover with Forestry extension; compliance with SAFCOL safety standards.
- Pricing: All-inclusive R/m3 price inclusive of VAT; price components (Overheads, Plant/equipment, Labour, Mark-up).
- Returnables: Complete RFQ, company letterhead quotation, tax clearance, BBBEE (SANAS or sworn affidavit for EME/QSE), CK documents, CSD report or MAAA number.
