## Summary

#### Overview
**Servicing, maintenance, upgrades, ad-hoc repairs and technical support for NRF-SAIAB’s two 15m aluminium research vessels over a five-year period.** Bidders should have marine vessel maintenance capability, experience with large aluminium vessels, OEM-service capacity, and be located within ~150 km of the Port Elizabeth or Durban ports to perform on-site work; proximity is a key requirement.

#### Requirements
- Demonstrable experience with maintenance/construction of large (>15m) aluminium vessels and alloy-welding by certified personnel.
- Ability to perform OEM-prescribed service, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, upgrades, and provide on-site and off-site technical support with compliant reporting; ensure integration of engines, generators, electrics, navigation, hull and super-structure.
- Must be located within 150 km of Port Elizabeth or Durban to service vessels.
- Must notify SAMSA for required modifications; obtain approvals; maintain statutory certifications; ensure safety/operational compliance.
- Must use OEM-approved parts; provide service reports with evidence; warranty: labour warranty of 6 months; pass-through OEM warranties; disposal/trade-in where applicable.
- Tax/compliance: provide CSD registration and SARS Tax PIN; SBD forms; Stage 1 mandatory documents; B-BBEE optional.
