## Summary

#### Overview
**Procurement of load testing of lifting equipment and the issuing of Safe Working Load (SWL) / Load Test Certificates (CoC) for SAAT’s lifting equipment, in line with OHSA and Driven Machinery Regulations.** Bidders should be able to perform tests as a registered Lifting Machinery Entity (LME) with a competent Lifting Machinery Inspector (LMI) and issue official certificates for each item tested.

#### Requirements
- Ability to perform load testing and issue CoCs; testing must be conducted by an LME and LMI.
- Valid Tax Compliance Status PIN and BBBEE certificate or affidavit (as applicable).
- Complete and sign SBD 1 (for international) and SBD 4 (for local and international) forms; include Declaration as required.
- Lead time for all items must be specified; supplier must meet the specified lead times or risk cancellation.
- Quotations must be exclusive of VAT, with VAT shown separately; validity period typically 90 days.
- Purchases to be made via Official Purchase Order; no delivery before PO.
- Disclosure of conflicts of interest; no involvement in related requirements or SAAT staff family ties.
- Material/test items must be NEW, with minimum 24 months warranty, and deliver with at least 75% shelf life remaining.
- Documentation and compliance with OHSA/regulatory requirements; visual, functional, and proof-load testing procedures apply (as detailed in the RFQ).
