## Summary

#### Overview
**Procurement of meters and related metering components for water supply by Ugu District Municipality.** Scope includes 15 mm AGB800 above-ground house-connection box, 20 mm above-ground house-connection meter box, 150 mm bulk meter full flow, 20 mm and 110 mm HDPE pipes (CL16 Type 5), 50 mm strainer, and related items, with delivery to Park Rynie Stores. Open to suppliers of water metering hardware; the tender documents and processes are outlined in the attached Tender Document. 

#### Requirements
- Compliance with PPPFA 80/20 (or 90/10) evaluation, including specific goals for Ownership, Local Business promotion, and Other Specific Goals. 
- Must be registered on the Central Supplier Database (CSD) or provide a SARS Tax Compliance Status (TCS) PIN; valid tax clearance if applicable. 
- Registration with the Companies and Intellectual Property Commission (CIPC); copies of IDs for directors/owners; VAT registration where applicable. 
- Complete and submit MBD1 (Invitation to Bid), MBD4 (Declaration of Interest), MBD6.1 (Preference Points), MBD8 (Declaration of SCM Practices), and MBD9 (Certificate of Independent Bid Determination). 
- Attach proof for specific goals (e.g., EME/QSE ownership certificates or affidavits), and other general documentation (proof of municipal service payments, disability proof if applicable). 
- Bids must be on official forms, deposited in the Ugu Bid Box, and be valid for 30 days from closing. 
- The Council may reject any or all bids and is not obliged to accept the lowest bid. 
- Compliance with GCC and any applicable special conditions.

- Closing date and time: 15 October 2026 at 12:00 (MBD1 Part A). See (MBD1/MBD forms) for exact details. 
- Submission: sealed bid in the official forms, deposited in the Bid Box at 96 Marine Drive, Phase 3, Oslo Beach. Faxed, emailed, or late bids will not be accepted. 
- Documents to submit: the official bid forms (MBD1 Part A/B, MBD4, MBD6.1, MBD8, MBD9) and attachments listed in the tender (IDs, CSD number or TCS PIN, CIPC registration, tax clearance, proof of disability if any).
