## Summary

#### Overview
**Render a complete, well equipped and suitably qualified Lifesaving Function in the Greater Knysna Area for 36 months (December & Easter holiday periods).** Bidders should be Lifesaving Clubs or service providers whose lifeguards are registered with Life Saving South Africa, carry public liability insurance of at least R3,000,000, and be able to supply/maintain the required equipment and personnel and meet the contract’s safety, reporting and asset-management obligations (T-21-of-2026/27-Tender-Document.pdf).

#### Requirements
- Lifeguards and instructors must be registered with Life Saving South Africa (valid registration).
- Public liability and losses insurance minimum of R3 000 000.
- Provide/additional equipment including disposable medical supplies; care for municipal equipment and return within 7 days after termination; liability for damages.
- Duty hours 09:00–18:00 daily; implement a supervisory system (Manager, Squad Leader, Lifeguards) with daily on-duty reports.
- AEDs: proof of ownership or hiring for each lifeguarding site (one per site) and device details.
- Communications: radios and cell phones provided at each site.
- Special Tender Specifications require an affidavit that lifeguards are employed by the bidder and to provide lifeguard names/certifications.
- Site staffing and equipment specifics (e.g., Buffalo Bay Beach, Brenton Beach, Swartvlei; 4 lifeguards per site for the specified periods) and responsibility for municipal equipment.
