## Summary

#### Overview
**The DHET seeks to appoint Area of Study Specialists/Subject Matter Experts to refine the NASCA curriculum and develop examinations and assessment guidelines for the National Senior Certificate for Adults (NASCA).** Bidders should be curriculum/assessment professionals with NQF level 9 or 10 in Education, at least 10 years’ expert experience in curriculum development (GETC/ABET/NASCA/NSC/NCV), and specific NASCA subject-matter expertise. Submissions are via email to quotation@dhet.gov.za, by 2026-10-23 11:00, with a 90-day validity. See attached Terms of Reference (RFQ279-2026.pdf).

#### Requirements
- Appropriate qualification at NQF level 9 or 10 in Education with relevant subject specialization.
- Minimum 10 years’ expert experience in curriculum development (NQF 1–4; GETC/ABET/NASCA/NSC/NCV).
- Minimum 10 years’ expert knowledge/experience in NASCA subject matter.
- Comprehensive CV with evidence of qualifications.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and strong communication/leadership abilities.
- Administrative/compliance documents: registration on the Central Supplier Database (CSD), Tax status, POPIA consent, and completion of SBD forms (SBD 1, 3.1, 4, 6.1) with pricing schedule.
- Compliance with project governance (monthly progress reports to Project Manager; English correspondence).
