## Summary

#### Overview
**The MQA seeks a service provider to deliver managed IT backup, disaster recovery (DR) and DR site hosting for 38 months (until 31 March 2030).** Eligible bidders are IT backup/DR service providers with proven implementation and support capabilities, including data migration, DR testing, and licensing management.

Key scope: two off-site RSA-based DR facilities (primary and secondary), 50 Mbps dedicated link, full backup/DR management (incl. M365), data migration, and ongoing monitoring/support.

#### Requirements
- Two off-site DR data centers located in RSA, away from MQA Parktown HQ, with GPS coordinates.
- Facilities must be accredited (e.g., TÜV SÜD SA, Uptime Institute, SANAS).
- Full DR hosting with 99.95% availability; replication between sites; full data migration from current provider.
- 50 Mbps fibre link for replication with internet breakout; DR site must mirror production and M365 environments.
- Licenses included and valid for 38-month term; 24/7/365 Service/Help Desk; backup monitoring tool and automatic daily reports.
- Data: current ~42 TB across storage; expected ~80 TB over 38 months; backups: daily incremental (3 weeks), weekly full (4 weeks), monthly full (12 months), yearly full.
- Quarterly DR restore/simulation tests (3 per year) and 1 full annual DR test with reports.
- Deliverables include two DR environments, migration, ongoing backups/replication, and DR Site design documentation.
- Mandatory qualifications: references (3+ letters), CVs of backup/DR professionals, project manager with PM qualifications, and IT backup/DR certifications.
