## Summary

#### Overview
**Appointment of a service provider to provide translation services to the National Energy Regulator of South Africa (NERSA) for a period of three years.** Bidders should be translation service providers with SATI membership, strong experience in corporate/government work, ability to deliver in English and South Africa’s official languages (e.g., Afrikaans, isiZulu, Sesotho), and compliant with CSD, SARS tax status, and B-BBEE requirements.

#### Requirements
- Proven translation/ editing capability with five or more relevant references in corporates/government in the last five years.  
- Membership of the South African Translators’ Institute (SATI) and demonstration of qualified project team with CVs.  
- Compliance documents: CSD registration, SARS Tax Compliance Status (TCS) or PIN, B-BBEE certificate or SANAS/SANAS-verified sworn affidavit, and completion of all standard bidding forms.  
- Ability to deliver high-quality translations (English source to Afrikaans/isiZulu/Sesotho or other SA languages), edit, proofread, and replicate layout; deliver final products to NERSA in Pretoria.  
- Data protection, confidentiality, IP ownership by NERSA, and compliance with GCC; security vetting may be required.  
- Pricing to be evaluated with an 80/20 preference system; specific goals for black ownership and black-woman ownership apply.

#### How to Apply
- Important dates: non-compulsory briefing on 19 June 2026 at 10:00 (MS Teams); questions by 22 June 2026 12:00; final closing 06 July 2026 at 11:00.

- Submission: One original bid plus a duplicate on a memory stick; deliver to the Procurement Manager, Kulawula House, 526 Madiba Street, Arcadia, Pretoria, in a sealed PDF-bound envelope. Include pricing separately on a memory stick as required (see BID008).
