## Summary

#### Overview
**The Repairs to portable stainless steel water pipeline in the pipeline rack from Berth 1 to Berth 10, Island View, Port of Durban, for six months, are being procured by Transnet National Ports Authority.** Bidders should be capable civil/engineering/construction contractors with CIDB 3ME or higher (or able to attain it), plus required certifications (PIRB, SACPCMP) and welding capability; JV arrangements must meet CIDB rules; and bidders must meet site safety and regulatory requirements and register on the CSD.

#### Requirements
- CIDB: contractor grading designation of 3ME or higher (or capable before evaluation); every JV member must be CIDB-registered; lead partner not lower than one level below the required class; combined rating must meet the tendered scope (3ME or higher).  
- Technical pre-qualification: valid PIRB registration and plumber’s trade certificate with authorization to issue COCs; SACPCMP registration for the Safety Officer; welding trade test certificate for personnel performing welding.  
- Certifications verified: professional registrations and trade qualifications validated by the Employer; SACPCMP and PIRB verifications online.  
- Safety/health: adherence to Annexure A contractor Health and Safety guidelines and Island View SHE specifications (PPE, risk assessments, safety plans, inductions).  
- Administrative: self-register on the National Treasury Central Supplier Database (CSD) and provide Supplier Number and Unique reference; ensure all returnable documents are completed; attend compulsory briefing.
