## Summary

#### Overview
**Procurement of a digital mammography unit (including tomosynthesis) for George Hospital, with supply, delivery, installation, demonstration and commissioning.** Bidders should be manufacturers or distributors of mammography systems, SAHPRA-registered for medical devices, with Central Supplier Database (CSD) registration, Western Cape–based service capability, and ability to integrate with PACS/RIS. #### Requirements
- SAHPRA licence as manufacturer, distributor or wholesaler of medical devices/IVDs.  
- If you are not the manufacturer, a supplier/manufacturer supply agreement confirming continued supply.  
- Occupational Health & Safety Act Section 37(2) Agreement completed.  
- Registration on the Central Supplier Database (CSD) and tax compliance status; if verifications fail, 7 working days to confirm tax compliance.  
- B-BBEE status as stated on WCBD 6.1; complete WCBD4 documentation.  
- Mandatory Western Cape bid documents and local support: established Western Cape technical base with trained staff (no 3rd party backup) and a five-year maintenance contract; include cost of ownership and annual pricing.  
- Other mandatory requirements: SAHPRA licence for import/sale of the unit; Hazardous Substances Act licence; detailed technical documentation demonstrating compliance with DICOM/IHE, safety, and connectivity to PACS/RIS. (see document sections and WCBDs in the attached bid document)
