Overview

Procurement of the 1.5 megalitre extension of the Clanwilliam Wastewater Treatment Plant (construction project). Suitable bidders are construction contractors, with CIDB grading 8CE or higher, registered in the applicable class, and capable of handling water/wastewater infrastructure projects.

Requirements

• CIDB grading of 8CE or higher; provide valid proof and be registered in the applicable class.
• Registration on National Treasury’s Central Supplier Database (CSD) with Tax Clearance/TCS Pin/CSD number.
• Payment of non-refundable tender deposit of R1140.00 (VAT inclusive) to Standard Bank, account details in the advert; proof of payment required to collect documents.
• Completion of bid documents in black ink on original forms.
• Mandatory tender clarification meeting on 17 September 2026 at 11:00 (Council Chambers, Clanwilliam).
• Tender validity: 120 days after closing.
• Preference points: complete the Preference Point Claim form for Preferential Procurement Regulations.
• Only bids submitted on the municipality-issued bid documentation will be accepted; late, incomplete, or non-compliant bids will be rejected.

• Submission deadline: 9 October 2026 at 12:00; bids opened in public immediately after.
• Submission method: sealed envelopes deposited in the Tender Box at the Cederberg Municipality, 2A Voortrekker Street, Clanwilliam; bids must be on the issued documents.
• Documents to submit: original Bid Documentation (in black ink); CSD/TCS Pin/Tax Clearance/Registration numbers; Preference Point Form; proof of payment for the tender deposit.
• Pre-qualifications/registrations: CIDB 8CE or higher; CSD registration; Tax Clearance/TCS Pin.
• Briefing session details: compulsory, 17 September 2026 at 11:00, Council Chambers, 2A Voortrekker Street, Clanwilliam.
