10375855 - REQUEST FOR QUOTATION (RFQ) FOR THE APPOINTMENT OF A SERVICE PROVIDER TO OVERHAUL DIFFS & GERBOXES

Overview

This RFQ seeks a service provider to overhaul differentials and gearboxes for PRASA's rolling stock. Bidders should have automotive engineering repair capability, be RMI-registered for Automotive Engineering (valid at submission), hold a SARS tax PIN/TCS, and be registered on the National Treasury Central Supplier Database (CSD). The process includes a mandatory site/workshop capacity assessment (LDPT site visit) at the Coronationville/Johannesburg location.

Requirements

• RMI registration for Automotive Engineering (valid at bid submission); sub-contractors must also be RMI-registered; JV documentation if applicable.
• Workshop/address proof and on-site equipment as per LDPT Site Visit; minimum technical threshold 80% to pass the site visit.
• Tax compliance: SARS PIN/TCS; provide CSD number if no PIN; separate TCS for each JV/consortium member.
• Returnable documents: quotation on company letterhead; RMI certificate; proof of workshop address or lease; SARS PIN; CSD number; complete ALL RFP docs.
• Pricing: all prices in ZAR, firm and inclusive of taxes; use the attached Pricing Schedule/BoQ; 80/20 price vs. specific goals; disclose any discounts unconditionally.
• Specific goals: at least B-BBEE Level 1 or 2 (10 points) and at least 51% Black Women ownership (10 points), with supporting evidence.
• Compliance with PRASA General Conditions (warranty of 1 year, delivery terms, penalties for late delivery), and funding contingency as described in the RFQ.
