Overview

Access Control Management Supply, Install, Support and Maintenance for the University of the Witwatersrand, covering existing access control, CCTV, intruder alarms, turnstiles and related security infrastructure, with installation of new work as required. Eligible bidders are South African entities with demonstrable local experience in security equipment maintenance, installer certifications (Access Control, CCTV, Alarms), references, VAT/tax clearance, insurance and related corporate requirements.

Requirements

• Minimum pre-qualification: SA registration, VAT/tax clearance, annual financial statements, bank confirmation, compensation fund/insurer status, and completion of Annexure B returnables.
• Technical pre-conditions: minimum 3 years’ local track record in Gauteng with client references; valid installer certifications for Access Control, CCTV and Alarm systems; summarised CVs for Site Manager (5+ years), Project Manager (5+ years) and lead/onsite technicians; two or more relevant references including a Gauteng site of similar scale.
• Commercial: B-BBEE certificate; warranty requirements (OEM warranty min 3 years, with next-business-day support); insurance; governance and security standards adherence; detailed maintenance plans and asset register.
• Documentation: complete all returnable schedules (Annexure B) and pricing (Annexure C); adhere to contract terms and potential deviations.

• Submit your tender electronically via PURCO SA by 13 July 2026 (23:59).
