Overview

The Oudtshoorn Municipality invites quotations for the supply and delivery of smoke detectors (alarms). Suitable bidders are electrical/electronics suppliers capable of sourcing and delivering alarms, with BBBEE certification and the ability to demonstrate local operations within Oudtshoorn, Eden, or Western Cape to earn locality points.

Requirements

• Compliance with the 80/20 PPPFA (2022) and the Municipality’s SCM Policy.
• BBBEE status: 10 points (provide BBBEE certificate/verification).
• Locality points: 10 within Oudtshoorn; 5 within Eden District; 2 within Western Cape; 0 outside WC.
• Central Supplier Database (CSD) registration: required for bidders not yet registered (online via csd.gov.za).
• No bids from persons in the service of the state.
• Quotations must be submitted on fully completed original documents and remain valid for 90 days.
