Overview

Appointment of a service provider to refill, supply and deliver 14 kg and 19 kg LP gas canisters and 210 litres of ethylene solvent for ripening bananas at Tshwane Market, as and when required for up to 12 months. Suitable for LPG suppliers with a wholesale license and for ethylene solvent suppliers, capable of compliant delivery, with required certifications (OHS, MSDS) and OEM authorizations. Bidders must be on the CSD and meet National Treasury requirements.

Requirements

• PDPDG (Professional Driver Permit for Dangerous Goods) and a valid wholesale LPG license (DMRE 38).
• Written authorisation from the Ethylene solvent manufacturer (or manufacturing license and solvent registration if the bidder is the manufacturer).
• At least two signed reference letters for similar solvent supply.
• Manufacturer data/MSDS for the Ethylene solvent; compliance with standards.
• OHS compliance documents and Hazard Identification Risk Assessment (HIRA); Tremcard for transport emergencies.
• LP Gas specifications: ISO 4706:2023, SANS 10087-1:2013, LPG/VPG W.C. 45.4L, required tests/certifications; gas refills sealed and regulators leak-free.
• 12-month LPG cylinder warranty; delivery capabilities: LP Gas within 8 hours; Ethylene solvent within 48 hours.
• Documentation: MBD forms (1, 4, 5, 8, 9) completed; CSD registration valid; Tax PIN or CSD; municipal rates up to date for bidder and key owners; audited financials for last 3 years (or proof if not legally required) where applicable; returnable documents list.
• Specific requirements for Ethylene solvent delivery and MSDS.
