Overview

This tender seeks to appoint a short-term insurance broker/insurer to manage NYDA’s short-term insurance portfolio for three years. The successful bidder will provide broking, placement, administration, claims handling and advisory services across multiple covers (assets, D&O, group personal accident, corporate travel, events liability, business interruption, cyber, professional indemnity, project-specific insurances, facilities/tools, structural maintenance, fidelity, SASRIA, money, travel, etc.). Suitable bidders are insurers or brokers with strong public-sector experience, robust claims handling systems, and the capacity to deliver a three-year SLA.

Requirements

• Returnable documents: SBD1, SBD4, pricing schedule; proof of CSD registration; SARS Tax Compliance Status or PIN; FSCA registration; FIA membership; proof of underwriter and, if applicable, JV/consortium arrangements; BBBEE certificate or sworn affidavit; proof of company registration and authority to sign.
• Professional indemnity: confirmation of a PI/Errors & Omissions policy (min R51 million) after stage 3.
• Online claims handling capability with monthly/quarterly reporting.
• Compliance with POPIA; separate TCS certificates for each consortium party.

• Submission method: hard copy in the NYDA Tender Box (Reception Area, 7 Naivasha Road) plus a PDF copy on a flash drive; do not email or fax submissions (see document).
• Documents to submit: original hardcopy, plus electronic PDF; complete SBD1, SBD4; pricing schedule; CSD proof; SARS TCS/PIN; FSCA proof; FIA proof; underwriter letter; JV agreements if any; BBBEE documentation.
• Registrations/pre-qualifications: CSD registration, SARS TCS or PIN, FSCA registration; FSCA/FIA status where applicable.
• Briefing: compulsory online briefing on 13 August 2026 at 10:00 via Microsoft Teams (link in tender docs).
