Overview

Appointment of a banking institution for the provision of comprehensive banking services to the City of Mbombela for five years. Open-tender for SA-licensed banks with Banks Act compliance and an established local branch/network to meet the City’s banking, transactional and service-delivery requirements. Requirements

• Banking institution licensed in SA under the Banks Act and compliant with the National Credit Act.
• Demonstrated established local branch/agency network with adequate infrastructure to service the City and stakeholders.
• Tax compliance: valid Tax Compliance Status PIN or SARS e-Filing; foreign bidders to complete Part B:3; provide CSD number if no TCS.
• Central Supplier Database full report (not older than 30 days); JV/consortium members must each meet requirements.
• BBBEE: certified certificate or sworn affidavit (EMEs/QSEs) for preference points.
• Mandatory documents: company registration, certified IDs of directors, latest audited financials for three years, organogram, CSD full report, and related certifications (MBD forms) as specified.
• Municipal rates/taxes statements for the business and all directors; address alignment with CSD and no arrears beyond 3 months.
• No bid defaulter status; comply with SCM rules and sign the required forms (MBDs) and contract controls.

• Submit in duplicate (one original and one duplicate) in a sealed envelope to the tender box at 1 Nel Street, Mbombela Civic Centre, before 11:00 on 11 September 2026.

• Briefing: no compulsory briefing session.
