APPOINTMENT OF A CIDB GRADE 1 GB OR HIGHER SERVICE PROVIDER FOR THE SUPPLY AND INSTALLATION OF 1-HOUR FIRE-RATED DRYWALLING, FIRE DOORS AND ASSOCIATED IRONMONGERY AT SARAO’S JOHANNESBURG OBSERVATORY PREMISES

Overview

Procurement of a CIDB Grade 1 GB or higher service provider for the supply and installation of 1-hour fire-rated drywalling, fire doors and associated ironmongery at SARAO’s Johannesburg Observatory premises. Suitable bidders are CIDB GB or higher contractors with experience in drylining, fire doors, and related ironmongery, and who meet health and safety, COIDA, and insurance requirements.

Requirements

• CIDB registration: Grade 1 GB or higher.
• Health and safety compliance: complete Annexure A and maintain SHE file requirements.
• COIDA good standing and Public liability insurance (minimum levels as specified).
• All prices must be firm and inclusive of VAT; pricing valid for 60 days.
• Completion/delivery: within 5 days after order; payment terms 30 days from valid invoice.
• Documentation: SBD 1, SBD 3.1 (pricing schedule), SBD 4, SBD 6.1; BBBEE documentation (certificate or sworn affidavit); CIDB proof; CSD registration required.
• Health and safety file commitment to be demonstrated at bidding stage (Annexure A).
• Site location and scope as per 2.2 Deliverables (fire-rated drywall, doors, coatings, hardware, safety file).
