Overview

Appointment of a contractor to install a water-wise and biodiversity garden at the Pretoria National Botanical Garden, Gauteng. SANBI seeks bids for contract SANBI: G592/2026 to appoint a CIDB-registered contractor for the garden installation; joint ventures allowed with each member CIDB-registered and lead partner at least 2SH, combined equal to 3SH+; compulsory site briefing on 03 November 2026. Requirements

• CIDB: 3SH or higher; JV rules as specified. (Water Wise Garden PNBG Tender Document Rev 6 TS.pdf)
• Returnable documents: copy of CSD registration, CIDB Active Listing for each JV member, COIDA letter, tax-compliance status, signed SBD forms, compulsory site briefing certificate, plant documentation, and CVs with qualifications. A professional Construction Health & Safety Officer (5+ years) with SACPCMP registration is required.
• Experience: five verifiable reference letters from different organisations (last 10 years) and five similar projects with appointment letters/completion certificates; minimum on-site key personnel: Contracts Manager (SACPCMP) and Site Agent (NQF6+).
• Evaluation: three-stage process – Stage 1 eligibility/administrative, Stage 2 functionality (minimum 70/100), Stage 3 price and preference. (Annexure A, Tender Document)
