APPOINTMENT OF A CONTRACTOR FOR THE PROVISION OF DESIGN & BUILD MODULAR GUARD HOUSE INSTALLATIONS FOR A PERIOD OF 18 MONTHS AT CLUSTER 3 AIRPORTS (KING SHAKA INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, CHIEF DAWID STUURMAN INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, KING PHALO AIRPORT)

Overview

Design & Build Modular Guard House Installations at Cluster 3 Airports (KSIA, CDSIA, KPA) for 18 months. An open tender by Airports Company South Africa (ACSA) for design, manufacture and on-site installation of modular guardhouses under NEC3 ECC, Option B. Eligible bidders are CIDB 4GB+ contractors; joint ventures allowed subject to CIDB rules; experience in design/build of modular buildings is advantageous.

Requirements

• CIDB contractor grading of 4GB or higher; joint ventures allowed with lead partner meeting 4GB+; combined grading must meet tender rules.
• Tax compliance: SARS Tax Compliance Status (TCS) PIN; if not, provide CSD number; separate TCS for joint ventures/sub-contractors.
• OHS/SHE: NEC3 contract data requires an Occupational Health & Safety Mandatary Agreement under Section 37(2); baseline risk assessment, emergency procedures, trained safety personnel, and ACSA SHE file compliance.
• Insurance: contract requires appropriate insurances; PCI arrangements described in insurance clauses (ACP/National standard).
• Tender documents: returnable schedules, Form of Offer & Acceptance, pricing, site information, and BOQ; pricing follows NEC3 ECC pricing data; no contract price adjustments (fixed rates).
• Procurement process: compulsory briefing 12 Oct 2026 (Teams); non-compulsory site visits 14 Oct (KSIA) and 20 Oct (other sites); queries by 22 Oct 2026.
