Overview

Appointment of a contractor to supply and install heavy-duty galvanized palisade fence at Tugela Ferry Shopping Centre. Suitable bidders are fencing/construction contractors with CIDB Grade 2SQ or higher, proven palisade fencing installation capability, and capacity to manage site works in line with SA standards; must be tax/compliance clear (SARS PIN, CSD, etc.).

Requirements

• CIDB grading: 2SQ or higher.
• Tax/compliance: SARS PIN or Tax Clearance; ability to submit TCS via e-Filing; if in a consortium, separate TCS/CSD for each party.
• Central Supplier Database (CSD) registration or equivalent proof.
• Official bid forms completed: SBD 1 (Invitation to Bid) with resolution; SBD 4 (Declaration of Interest); SBD 6.1 (Preference Points Claim Form) as applicable; SBD 7 may be required if awarded.
• Compulsory site briefing/inspection attended (31 July 2026, 11:00, Tugela Ferry Shopping Centre).
• Occupational health and safety: Letter of Good Standing; comply with OHS Act.
• Compliance with PPPFA/GCC and related contractual terms; bids may be negotiated and lowest bid not guaranteed. (These requirements are drawn from the RFQ documents and forms accompanying the tender.)

• Briefing: Compulsory site briefing 31 July 2026 at Tugela Ferry Shopping Centre (meeting point behind Boxer Store) per RFQ document RFQ-310-58000-2026.pdf.
• Closing: 4 August 2026 at 11:00 (late submissions not accepted) per RFQ document.
• Submission method: Hand delivery to Ithala Trade Centre, ground floor reception, Durban, or email to quotes@ithala.co.za (quotation box for hard copy); reference RFQ310/58000/2026.
• Documents to submit: Official bidding forms (SBD 1, SBD 4, SBD 6.1, etc.), company authority/resolution, CIDB certificate, VAT number, tax clearance or PIN/CSD, and any required joint venture disclosures (see attached forms in RFQ).
• Pre-qualifications/registrations: CSD registration, SARS tax compliance (PIN/TCS), CIDB grading in the required range, and proof of relevant registrations.
