Overview

This tender aims to appoint a contractor to supply, deliver, install and test a 1250A, 400V, 3-phase, 80 kA main circuit breaker at Substation 3/1 Isithebe Industrial Estate. Eligible bidders are electrical contractors with CIDB grading 1EB or higher, and must meet administrative and tax/compliance prerequisites (CSD registration, SARS Tax Compliance PIN, COIDA good standing, and relevant SBD documents). A pricing schedule is provided in the attached annexure.

Requirements

• CIDB grading: 1EB or higher
• National Treasury Central Supplier Database (CSD) registration
• SARS Tax Compliance Status/PIN (or CSD number if no PIN)
• SBD 1 (invitation to bid) with resolution letter; SBD 4 (declaration of interest)
• COIDA Good Standing
• Proof of authority to sign (e.g., company resolution)
• Completed bidder information for consortiums/joint ventures (if applicable)
• Pricing schedule to be provided (Annexure A)

• Documents to submit (at minimum): SBD 1 with resolution, SBD 4, completed forms, CIDB proof, CSD/SARS PIN or tax clearance, COIDA, pricing annex (Annexure A)

• Pre-qualification: CSD registration, SARS e-Filing PIN, and, if applicable, separate CSD/TCS documents for each consortium member
• Notes: The award will follow Ithala’s procurement policies (80/20 price-preference points; specific goals for B-BBEE-related ownership are listed in the tender). For any tax/compliance verification, SARS PIN or CSD number is required.
