Overview

Appointment of a contractor with CIDB 2EP or 2EB or higher for the smart electrical metres upgrade at Sundumbili and Tugela Ferry, including supply, installation, commissioning, online metering, tariff support and 3-year monitoring. Requirements

• Valid CIDB grading of 2EP or 2EB or higher.
• Tax compliance: SARS PIN/TCS (or provide a CSD number if no PIN); separate TCS for JV/sub-contractors.
• Registration on the National Treasury Central Supplier Database (CSD) and submission of required CSD/Pin/TCS documents.
• Completion and signing of SBD 1 (Invitation to Bid), SBD 4 (Declaration of Interest), and SBD 7 (Contract Form) with supporting resolutions.
• COIDA Letter of Good Standing (minimum threshold).
• Evidence of track record and technical capacity for smart metering projects (reference letters, CVs and organogram for installation team).
• No state employment or related conflicts; other mandatory disclosures as per SBD 4.
