Overview

Procurement of a panel of plumbing contractors to attend to plumbing-related services for municipal buildings, facilities, informal settlements and indigent households, over three years (to 30 June 2029). Eligible bidders: CIDB-registered contractors with a 2SO+ designation, experience in municipal plumbing works, and compliance with B-BBEE and tax/CSD requirements.

Requirements

• CIDB: bidder must have CIDB registration with a contractor grading designation of 2SO or higher; CIDB registration is a pre-qualification.
• Compliance and registrations: Tax Compliance (TCS PIN or CSD number) and B-BBEE certificates (original or certified copies); each JV/consortium party must provide its own documents.
• Mandatory disclosure: declare conflicts of interest; maintain confidentiality and comply with POPIA in contract.
• Tender specifics: price-based evaluation (80) and B-BBEE/Specific Goals (20); tender validity 84 days.
• Site/briefing: compulsory site visit/clarification meeting; attendance is mandatory.
• Documentation and submission: sealed tender in the prescribed box; non-posted/faxed tenders; bid documents may require deposit (non-refundable) and are available on the website or from SCMU.
