Overview

Appointment of a panel of pharmaceutical wholesalers/distributors to supply and deliver medication and surgical items to Msunduzi Municipality. Bidders should be pharmaceutical wholesalers/distributors with SAHPRA wholesaler license, SAPC registration, and a designated pharmacist; capacity for 36 months with reliable delivery and cold-chain capability.

Requirements

• Mandatory licenses: SAHPRA wholesaler license; SAPC registration; designated pharmacist (Bachelor of Pharmacy) with active SAPC membership.
• Compliance & registrations: valid Tax Clearance or SARS Tax Compliance Pin; CSD Supplier Number and Unique Registration Reference; CSD registration required for state tenders.
• Tender documentation: fully completed Tender Form; Annexure A (Alterations by Tenderer) as needed; complete Data Sheets (e.g., Declaration of Interest, Authority to Sign, Pricing Schedule, Declarations) with Commissioner where applicable.
• Experience: award letters and/or reference letters validating prior contracts.
• Product delivery: medications/surgical items in original manufacturer packaging with batch/expiry details; expiry date of at least 12 months; delivery within 10 working days after order; appropriate handling of cold-chain where required.
• Evaluation: Two-stage process (Functionality then 80/20 points with BOE 10, women 5, location 5) per Preferential Procurement Regulations 2022.
• Compliance with laws: adherence to relevant legislation (OHS, COID, LR Act, BCE, VAT, etc.).
