Appointment of a panel of service providers for the installation and commissioning of Ku-band VSAT, Ka-band VSAT and Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite installation for a period of three years with an option to extend for a further two years. The panel is on an as-needed basis, with pricing per project. Suitable bidders are installers with accredited capabilities in Ka-band, Ku-band and LEO installations, plus relevant references, tax clearance, CIDB and BBBEE compliance; JV options are allowed with accompanying board/JV resolutions (SBD pack).

Requirements

• Ka-band: accreditation on Hughes platform; documentation for 74 cm/90 cm/98 cm Ka-band installations; >1 year Ka-band installation experience; customer reference letter; SQF commitment.
• Ku-band: accreditation on Newtec iDirect platform; evidence of 120 cm Ku-band installation; >3 years Ku-band installation experience; target 10 dB commitment; customer reference letter.
• LEO: accreditation on LEO platform; prior LEO installation/commissioning reference; mast climbing certificate.
• Administrative/compliance: valid tax clearance (SARS TCS PIN or CSD number); CIDB registration (if applicable); BBBEE; English documents; returnable documents completed and signed; JV/resolutions if applicable; two-envelope submission (technical and financial); compliance with GCC/SCC where applicable.
• Additional: responses subject to risk assessment; eligibility criteria are mandatory for evaluation (Scope attachments SENT-021/2026-27 and the General Conditions of Contract).

How to Apply

• Deadline: closing 17 September 2026 at 12:00; briefing 3 September 2026 at 10:00 (non-compulsory; Microsoft Teams; request via tendera@sentech.co.za by 02 Sept 2026) (SBD1).
• Submission methods: electronic via the eTender Portal or hand-delivery to Sentech, Radiokop (Octave Road). If hand-delivered, before closing hours (08:30–15:30).
• Documents to submit: Envelope One – Technical Proposal (original + PDF copy); Envelope Two – Financial Proposal (original + PDF copy). Do not mix envelopes; outer envelope must be clearly marked (SENT-026/2026-27).
• Returnable documents: complete SBD forms (SBD1, SBD4, SBD5, SBD6.1), tax clearance, BBBEE, JV/resolutions if applying as a consortium, and general documents listed in the Returnable Documents schedule (see "List of returnable documents").
