Overview

Procurement of a panel of service providers for the manufacturing, supply, delivery and installation of office furniture for the KwaZulu-Natal Department of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs (COGTA) for 36 months. Suitable bidders include office furniture manufacturers, suppliers and installers; non-manufacturers must have a manufacturing partner and meet capacity and installation requirements.

Requirements

• Furniture supply capability or a written agreement with a manufacturing partner for non-manufacturers.
• Operational capacity: warehouse facilities; proof of ownership or lease.
• Company experience: at least five (5) reference letters for similar projects in the last 3 years.
• Transportation/delivery resources: minimum 1 light delivery vehicle and 1 medium/heavy-duty truck, with proof of ownership or signed logistics agreements.
• Compliance with designated sector rules: local content and specific goals (e.g., HDP, women-owned, youth-owned, KZN-based) and evidence to claim points; mandatory completion of SBD 6.1 for specific goals.
• Compliance with tax and supplier databases: Tax Compliance Status or CSD registration; registration on the Central Supplier Database; separate pre-qualifications for joint ventures.
• Warranty: minimum 5-year workmanship warranty; manufacturer warranties where applicable.
• Panel specifics: minimum of six panellists; panel work allocated via secondary quotations; potential cancellation if fewer than six qualify.
