Overview

Procurement of a panel of service providers for the supply and delivery of heavy duty machinery for Msunduzi Municipality’s Sports, Parks, Servitudes, Recreation and Cemeteries Division. Bidders should be machinery suppliers capable of supplying items such as brush cutters, chainsaws, hedge trimmers, pole pruners and mowers, with up to three providers per item. The contract runs 3 years, with VAT-inclusive pricing and an 80/20 evaluation (price vs. specific goals: Black ownership, Women ownership, locality). Delivery is to Princess Margaret Drive, Alexandra Park HQ. Documents are in Tender Document-SCM 4 of 26/27 (and related Tender Notice).

Requirements

• Complete tender documentation on the official Tender Form; mandatory attendance at a Tender Briefing/Site Inspection (certificate required).
• Valid Tax Clearance and SARS Tax Compliance Status PIN; if applicable, CSD PIN and Unique Registration Reference Number.
• CSD registration and proof (and for joint ventures, CSD/CIPC for all parties); Annexures and Data Sheets properly completed and signed.
• Provide coloured brochures and detailed specifications for each item tendered.
• Compliance with legislation (OHS Act, COID, LRA, BCEA, VAT) and, where applicable, Engineering Profession Act; adherence to MFMA and related by-laws.
• Municipal fees up to date; lease documentation if premises are leased.
• Prices must be VAT inclusive; all required forms (Data Sheets 1–7, including MBDs) completed and signed.
• Data Sheet obligations and mandatory declarations (e.g., Declaration of Interest, Authority to Sign, etc.). (See Tender Document-SCM 4 of 26/27)

How to Apply

• Submission deadline: 12:00 on 7 August 2026; submissions in sealed envelopes to Msunduzi Central Stores, 2 Abattoir Road; public opening. (Tender Notice)
• Submission method: hard copy plus CD/USB on Annexure G; mark envelopes with “Contract SCM 4 of 26/27.” Tender documents may be downloaded from etenders.gov.za; hard copies available at SCM Unit, AS Chetty Centre, for a non-refundable deposit of R826.19 per document. (Tender Notice)

• Pre-qualifications: CSD registration, Tax Compliance, and relevant statutory registrations; Annexure B for preference points (BOE, Women-owned, Locality) and proof thereof.
• Briefing: Compulsory Tender Briefing/Site Inspection; attendance and certificate required.
• Delivery and SLA: Delivered machinery to Princess Margaret Drive; SLA to be signed before start; penalties for late delivery (R1,000 per day); warranty of 12 months; contract may be split per item (up to three providers). (SPECIFICATION, Data Sheet 1)
