Overview

Appointment of a Professional Service Provider to provide Snake Awareness, Snake Identification, and Snake Handling Training for employees across various TCTA sites, including training material, certificates of competence/attendance, and advisory support on snake-related occupational hazards for 24 months. Target bidders are wildlife/wildlife-handling training providers with English-delivery capability, accredited trainers (e.g., FGASA or equivalent), and proven experience delivering snake-related training (minimum three projects). Training material must be supplied by the provider; certificates issued on completion.

Requirements

• Training in English; aligned to wildlife handling best practices and national standards; trainers accredited by recognized bodies; training material supplied by provider; certificates issued; strict animal welfare for live handling; delivery in-person, online (awareness only), or hybrid; attendees per component: 20 (minimum 6 per session).
• Company experience: minimum of three snake-awareness/handling projects; Annexure A or three reference letters; accreditation/registration with wildlife/environment/first-aid bodies; at least five related trainings.
• Personnel: Snake Trainer/Facilitator with ≥5 years with wild snakes; recognized certifications in snake handling, venomous-snake management, snakebite first-aid; Snake Advisory Specialist with ≥5–10 years in herpetology/wildlife/wildlife risk assessments.
• Deliverables/Returnables: complete RFQ scope; Annexure A or three reference letters; CVs for key personnel; fully completed pricing schedule; BBBEE Certificate or valid sworn affidavit; SBDs; CSD/tax compliance.
