APPOINTMENT OF A QUALIFIED SERVICE PROVIDER FOR THE ONCE OFF PROCUREMENT OF ONE BOX-CORER SYSTEM FOR SAPRI. The NRF/SAEON seeks a bid to supply one box-corer system for SAPRI, along with two additional sample boxes, spare parts, and related maintenance documentation. This is a one-off procurement targeted at marine-equipment manufacturers or suppliers of box-corer systems (ISO 9001:2015 compliance required). Requirements

• One box-corer system meeting specs: 0.25 m2 sampling area; core 50×50×65 cm; max depth ~65 cm; marine-grade stainless steel (316L); weight ~565 kg; rated to 6000 m; no-load release mechanism; ISO 9001:2015 compliant.
• Two additional marine-grade stainless sample boxes with identical modifications (side windows) and all required winch-interface components.
• All spare components, including winch attachment equipment and lead-time clarity for critical spares.
• Comprehensive maintenance documentation: SOPs, manuals, maintenance schedules, local maintenance viability, warranty terms, and after-sales support.
• Warranty: manufacturer’s warranty for 2 years from shipment.
• Compliance requirements: ISO 9001:2015; tax/compliance (SARS PIN, CSD registration, TCS if applicable); two references for prior box-corer supply.
• Returnable documents: SBD forms (SBD1, SBD4, SBD6.1), pricing schedule (SBD3.1) in a separate folder, and supplier profile.

How to Apply

• Briefing: compulsory 20 August 2026 at 11:00 via Google Meet (link provided in the tender).
• Submissions: two-folder e-submission to SAEON Tenders email or National Treasury e-submission portal; first folder for technical/compliance, second folder for pricing; pricing must not appear in the first folder; PDFs must be password-protected.
• Documents to submit: SBD1, SBD4, SBD6.1; tax/compliance docs; CSD details; company profile; two references; pricing schedule (SBD3.1); Annexure A as required.
